António Murta

A systems engineer and successful entrepreneur, António co-founded QUiiQ in 2006. His extensive career includes acting as CIO of Sonae Retailing, the largest retail group in Portugal, and founding Enabler, a leading retail and wholesale consultancy that was purchased by Wipro in 2006, where he continued as VP of Retail Services until 2009. António is also managing director of the venture capital company, Pathena, which includes a wide cross-section of fast-growing IT companies in its investment portfolio - such as MobiComp, acquired by Microsoft in 2008, QUiiQ and Cardmobili. A systems engineer graduate from Minho University, he holds a MBA from Escola de Gestão do Porto (EGP), Porto University and an AMP from INSEAD. He remains active in the academic world, teaching at the Universities of Minho, Porto and Lisbon, as well as being a member of the General Board at the University of Minho.
